Yau Tsim Mong Graphics Card Repair
Yau Tsim Mong has no branch. Repairs take place at Room 1209, Dali Plaza, Shek Mun, Sha Tin. Langham Place, Harbour City, Elements and the International Commerce Centre are all just within the card drop-off area, not branches. East Tsim Sha Tsui and Austin can bring a card to Shek Mun the same day along the Tuen Ma line.
Yau Tsim Mong has no repair shop. Langham Place, Sino Centre, Mong Kok Computer Centre, Ho King Commercial Centre and Silver City Plaza in Mong Kok; Pioneer Centre in Prince Edward; Harbour City, K11 MUSEA, the row of commercial buildings in East Tsim Sha Tsui, Elements in West Kowloon, the International Commerce Centre, West Kowloon Station, and Olympian City in Tai Kok Tsui — all of these are just within the card drop-off area. Diagnosis, soldering and BGA work are only at Room 1209, Dali Plaza, Shek Mun, Sha Tin.
There are three practical routes to Shek Mun. East Tsim Sha Tsui, Austin and West Kowloon Station go directly along the Tuen Ma line, about 25 minutes. Mong Kok, Prince Edward, Yau Ma Tei and Jordan take the Tsuen Wan line to Mei Foo, then change to the Tuen Ma line, likewise about 25 minutes. Tai Kok Tsui and Olympian City take the Tung Chung line from Olympic Station to Nam Cheong, then change to the Tuen Ma line. Leaving from these stations after work, you can usually make it to Shek Mun before 20:00, then walk about 2 minutes to Room 1209.
Cards in Mong Kok mostly come from small rooms in commercial buildings, live-streaming rooms and long-running gaming machines. In the small rooms of Langham Place offices, Sai Yeung Choi Street South and Fa Yuen Street, ventilation is poor, so hardened thermal paste, high VRAM temperatures and melted 12VHPWR are all common. Sino Centre, Mong Kok Computer Centre, Ho King Commercial Centre and Silver City Plaza are places to buy cards or ask about parts — but they are not card drop-off points; do not leave a card at a shopping centre counter.
Tsim Sha Tsui and East Tsim Sha Tsui have a different kind of machine. Harbour City, K11 MUSEA, iSQUARE, The ONE and Miramar Shopping Centre are surrounded mostly by residences and serviced apartments; Tsim Sha Tsui Centre, Empire Centre, Houston Centre, South Seas Centre, New Mandarin Plaza, Wing On Plaza are office buildings, with many small chassis that throttle easily in the afternoon. Chungking Mansions and China Hong Kong City have small rooms that are dusty, with heat that cannot escape. Cards from Canton Road, Peking Road and Granville Road likewise go to Shek Mun. Harbour City has no branch.
West Kowloon and Tai Kok Tsui residential cards are common. People from Elements, the International Commerce Centre, The Arch, The Harbourside, The Cullinan, The Long Beach, The Waterfront, Olympian City, Harbour Green, Florient Rise and The Hermitage all bring cards to Shek Mun. Around Temple Street and Shanghai Street in Yau Ma Tei, the Fruit Market, and Jordan Road, Woosung Street, King's Park and the area near Queen Elizabeth Hospital, dust build-up or no display after a power trip are common. These buildings, shopping centres and estates are not shops.

How to Get to Shek Mun
East Tsim Sha Tsui, Austin and West Kowloon Station go directly along the Tuen Ma line to Shek Mun, about 25 minutes. Mong Kok, Prince Edward, Yau Ma Tei and Jordan: take the Tsuen Wan line to Mei Foo, then change, about 25 minutes. Olympian City and Tai Kok Tsui: from Olympic Station to Nam Cheong, change to the Tuen Ma line.
Yau Tsim Mong Common Card Problems
Small rooms and live-streaming rooms in Langham Place, Sai Yeung Choi Street and Fa Yuen Street left running: hot air circulates, throttling first, then screen artifacts. Shut down first; do not keep gaming.
Problems after buying a card in Sino Centre, Mong Kok Computer Centre, Ho King Commercial Centre or Silver City Plaza: the shopping centres can handle transactions; repairs are not there. Bring a pre-owned card to Shek Mun for diagnosis first, and explain the purchase situation.
Small office machines in East Tsim Sha Tsui: offices like Tsim Sha Tsui Centre, Empire Centre and Wing On Plaza have little chassis space; overheating and throttling does not necessarily mean the core is dead.
Harbour City, Chungking Mansions and small serviced-apartment rooms: dust and high room temperatures, fans screaming yet still overheating. Do not get your card reflowed inside Chungking Mansions.
A burnt smell from 12VHPWR in a Mong Kok or Tsim Sha Tsui machine: cut the power immediately. Bring the cable end to Shek Mun with the card, or mail it in; do not buy a new cable at a computer centre and plug it straight back in.
West Kowloon luxury residences and Olympian City: west-facing full-height windows heat up in the afternoon, so core and VRAM temperatures rise together. Elements, the International Commerce Centre and Olympian City have no card drop-off counters.
No display in old Yau Ma Tei and Jordan buildings after a power trip: measure the short and voltage rails first; the core is not reballing first.

Can screen artifacts, black screen, overheating and throttling be repaired?
Diagnosis first. Overheating is mostly dust build-up, hardened thermal paste or failed thermal pads; screen artifacts and black screens on boot need the VRAM and core cold-solder joints checked.
